Originally from Wisconsin, Philip recently earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan. Since then, he has begun working with some of Detroit's finest musicians, such as John Douglas, Scott Gwinell, Jacob Hart, etc. In addition to being a working musician, Philip teaches at McCourt's Music Group, and released his first album in 2024: Francesca. As of late, Philip has  begun touring with the Mercer Patterson Quintet. They have played around the West Coast, and the South and Midwest during 2024 and 2025.
